SEXUAL HARASSMENT INQUIRY COMMITTEE ANNUAL REPORT 2025-26
The purpose of this report is to provide the LUMS community with an overview of the work undertaken by the Sexual Harassment Inquiry Committee (SHIC), housed within the Office of Accessibility and Inclusion (OAI), during the academic year of 2025-2026. In sharing this information, OAI seeks to promote transparency, accountability, and a clearer understanding of how concerns relating to sexual harassment are received and addressed within the University, while remaining firmly committed to protecting the confidentiality, privacy, and dignity of every individual who comes forward.
The report presents an overview of the nature of concerns brought to the Office, the processes through which they were addressed, and the broader work undertaken to strengthen awareness, prevention, and institutional responses to harassment. The data has been carefully compiled and presented in a manner that does not disclose the identity or confidential details of any individual or case. The figures reflect matters reported to or brought to the attention of the Office during the reporting period and should not be interpreted as representing the actual prevalence or total number of incidents occurring within the community. Many experiences may never be reported or formally disclosed for a range of personal, social, and institutional reasons.
